Belgium

As many of you know I went to Belgium at the end of February on an educational/work trip. I toured greenhouses, a produce auction, produce packaging plant, and garden center. I learned a ton and even had a little time to tour the area. Here are a few pictures from the trip...

The cathedral tower in Mechelen. We went all the way to the top to get a better view of the city. There was an archbishop being inducted at this church at the time we were climbing the steps.
A better view of the entire cathedral, it was huge!

The hotel De Zalm in Herentals Belgium where we stayed.
We did our fair share of sampling the local beers at night in the hotel bar. Each beer came with its own specific glass.
One of the greenhouses getting ready to harvest tomatoes.
The charming street in Herentals where we stayed.
The town hall/old church across from our hotel.
Me at the top of the cathedral tower in Mechelen.

A better view of our hotel.

The streets of Mechelen while doing some shopping.

One of the greenhouses we visited growing tomatoes.

Tomatoes leaving he produce auction facility.

I have more pictures, but mostly of plants and greenhouses :) The country was very charming and what you would want to see in an old European city. I would love to visit with Matt someday.
